The Greens' comments in relation to the incoming Secretary of the Department of Education, Ms Jenny Gale are a disgraceful attack and plain wrong.
Ms Gale’s appointment was made entirely on merit after an open recruitment process and selection by an independent panel.
Ms Gale has a 37-year career in education, which is 37 more years of experience than Ms Dawkins has in Parliament.
Rather than belittling this appointment, the Greens should be cheering for the appointment of a female to one of the most senior roles in the public sector.
