The Hodgman Liberal Government is getting on with the job of delivering our long-term plan for Tasmanians and giving them the healthcare they deserve.
As per our 100 day plan, developmental work to construct the 10 new mental health beds at Mistral Place has now commenced with preliminary planning and consultation underway with key stakeholders.
Mental health is a key priority of the Hodgman Government, which is why we are committed to investing $95 million additional funding to deliver more beds and provide better mental health services for Tasmanians.
The Chief Psychiatrist is leading this work and all key stakeholders will be consulted through all stages.
It’s another marker reached in our 100 day plan and demonstrates the benefits of getting the budget back into balance so we can invest even more into essential services such as mental health.
