It is great news for the Hilliard Christian School community that their school has been granted registration as a Non-Government school for 2017.
This is excellent news for the students and staff of Hilliard who can now prepare for the new school year with certainty. The school will be open for business as usual for the start of Term 1 in 2017.
I applaud the Hilliard Christian School Community and Adventist Schools Australia for the huge effort they have put in over the past month to ensure their school meets the Tasmanian standards for registration as a non-government school.
The registration of non-government schools is a matter for the School Registration Board as an independent statutory body, and I thank the members of the Board for considering the new registration application of the school over the holiday period.
I wish all students and staff the very best for a wonderful 2017.
