The Glenorchy CBD is set to receive another boost with work soon to commence on Stage 3 of the CBD Revitalisation Project following support from the Hodgman Liberal Government.
Stage 3 will include further major works on Main Road, Glenorchy, following recent upgrades and the addition of enclosed cycle lanes into the CBD.
These upgrades will come as a major boost for local businesses and the local economy, giving Glenorchy a fresh new look and encouraging more people into the Glenorchy CBD.
As Minister for the Arts, I know that Glenorchy is a vibrant, colourful community with great arts and cultural experiences, which the Government encourages Tasmanians to explore.
In 2014 the Hodgman Liberal Government made an election promise to put $500,000 towards this project, and I am delighted as the Local Member to be able to deliver on this commitment for the Glenorchy community.
