On behalf of Tasmanians, I extend our warmest congratulations to Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the arrival of their daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte.
To celebrate the arrival, the Tasmanian Government will gift a Bobbie lavender bear to Princess Charlotte.
The bear is from the Bridestowe Lavender Estate at Nabowla, in the state’s North-East.
In honour of the birth of the Princess we will also be providing several specialist nursing chairs to the Paediatric Ward at the Royal Hobart Hospital, to assist new mothers.
A plaque commemorating the arrival of Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte will be incorporated as an enduring reminder of this special occasion.
