Weekend in the Valley is a special part of this year’s Ten Days on the Island Festival and is a great way to showcase all there is to do during autumn in the South.
The Festival, on 30-31 March 2019, will showcase the beautiful Huon Valley towns of Franklin, Geeveston and Huonville through a packed programme of free events for all ages.
The Tasmanian Government has invested $150,000 to bring the Weekend In The Valley event to life as part of our bushfire recovery plan.
Weekend in the Valley is promoted as part of the Love Autumn in the South campaign which is designed to encourage visitors back to one of Tasmania’s most beautiful destinations following the recent bushfires, which saw disruptions to businesses in the affected communities.
The recovery effort for affected communities is well and truly underway and the Weekend in the Valley festival is another important step.
Our message to our tourists and locals is that one of the best things you can do to help our communities recover from the bushfires is to go and check out all they have to offer.
