The safety of children in care is of utmost importance to the Hodgman Liberal Government.
Questions raised in Parliament today concerning complaints from foster carers about Key Assets are already being investigated by my Department, as per a long established complaints in-care process.
The children have been in the care of another experienced foster carer since the complainant resigned and finished work in January.
At this stage these claims are untested, and it is very important they are not pre-judged.
Key Assets is a not-for-profit organisation with 20 years of experience in supporting foster carers, children and young people in care, especially those with complex needs.
There is no suggestion that any of the 56 children under the care of Key Assets are not safe or well cared for.
