With around $1 billion in infrastructure upgrades already announced, Tasmania is set to be a big winner in tonight’s Federal Budget.
Tasmania has already secured funding from the Commonwealth for the new Bridgewater Bridge, in addition to $400 million for roads of strategic importance and $59.8 million for the Tasmanian Freight Rail Revitalisation program.
These funding commitments are great news, and demonstrate how the State and Federal Governments are working together to improve the lives of everyday Tasmanians.
