Employer of Choice a badge of honour

Tasmanian companies, not-for-profits, and community and government organisations are encouraged to apply for the 2020 Employer of Choice Awards.

The Awards recognise Tasmanian organisations that demonstrate contemporary workplace practices and outstanding support for their staff.

Already there are more than 100 accredited Tasmanian Employers of Choice across the state, collectively employing around 20,000 Tasmanians.

Becoming an Employer of Choice demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to its people and willingness to building a great workplace, no matter the industry or size of the organisation.

Being formally recognised as an Employer of Choice brings a sense of pride and achievement for employees, who reward the organisation with loyalty, productivity and passion for their work.

Award winners are entitled to display the distinctive red Employer of Choice logo when advertising their business and seeking new employees, which promotes their organisation as a place of choice for skilled workers.

Entries close on 13 December 2019 with winners announced in mid-2020, more information can be found at www.business.tas.gov.au/eoc
