Economy continues to grow under Hodgman Government’s long-term Plan

Today’s ABS figures showing growth of .3 per cent for the June quarter confirms that under the Hodgman Government’s long-term Plan the economy is growing and jobs are being created.

Importantly, the figures show that for the 12 months to June 2015, private investment is up 8.3 per cent, dwelling investment is up nearly 15 per cent, business investment is up over five per cent and investment in other buildings and structures is up nearly 14 per cent, which is underpinning jobs growth.

These figures also show that we have government spending under control.  While General Government spending is down, spending on job creating infrastructure is up, which is exactly what we said we would do.

This is just further proof that we are getting the budget back on track, we are creating jobs and we are growing the economy.
