It's pleasing to see Dorset Council authorise the Deed of Transfer for the Musselroe Tourist Road, which paves the way for the Liberal Government's $5.25 million election commitment to upgrade the road once the Musselroe Bay project starts.
The North-East community was one of the hardest hit by the Labor-Green shutdown of the forest industry and the $185 million Musselroe Bay Ecotourism Development would bring much needed investment to the region, creating hundreds of new jobs during construction and over 120 fulltime jobs once it's finished.
Dorset Council also approved the planning application from the Scottsdale RSL Sub Branch to build a Military Museum, which will help stimulate the local economy, create jobs and restore confidence.
We are contributing $230,000 toward this shovel-ready project to construct a hanger to display an Iroquois helicopter from the Vietnam War.
