Devonport Community Corrections update

Tenders have now opened for a $400,000 upgrade of the Community Corrections offices in Devonport.

This is the latest investment by the State Government in Justice infrastructure, with more than $300 million of works set to be delivered in the next 10 years.

The project will include building and office alterations to fit out open-plan work areas, office space and amenities at the Oldaker Street facility.

The upgrade is necessary due to increased staffing resources as part of the Tasmanian Government’s commitment to providing enhanced case management services on the North-West Coast.

An additional three full-time equivalent positions have been created as part of this initiative.

Work on the Devonport office is expected to commence early in the new year.
