Developing our next generation of leaders

The Hodgman Liberal Government has a goal to lead the nation in education, creating a job-ready generation of young Tasmanians.

Our school principals play a key role in this, providing the necessary school and community leadership to ensure our young people get the best education possible.

That is why I am pleased to announce the Principal Preparation Program, which will offered by the Professional Learning Institute (PLI) to aspiring leaders.

The Principal Preparation Program is an intensive program involving learning, mentoring and professional development, developing the leadership capabilities of aspirant principals as future high-quality school leaders.

This program is based on the Australian Professional Standard for Principals, funded by the PLI.

The Hodgman Government is committed to lifting Tasmanian education and providing students with the best opportunities, and creating clear career pathways and providing professional support for the leaders of tomorrow will help us Build Your Future.
