Delivering a new Visitor Centre at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens

Tenders are being sought for the design, documentation and construction management of the new Visitor Centre and associated works at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is investing $3.6 million in the new visitor centre which will be located adjacent to the main gate and include a shop and public amenities.

The new centre will provide contemporary, world-class facilities for the hundreds of thousands of visitors coming to the Gardens each year. The Gardens continue to attract more visitors and we must ensure we provide facilities to ensure this growth continues.

This financial year, the RTBG is set to exceed the highest visitation on record, with the 500,000th visitor expected to walk through the gates in coming days.

The new entry experience will better service the growing number of visitors, maximise the business potential of the Gardens and will enable the delivery of the best possible visitor experience.

Tenders close on 3 July 2019, with the tender award anticipated in August. Tender documents are available from the Government tenders website at www.tenders.tas.gov.au
