The confidence boom among Tasmanian businesses continues to grow, with today’s NAB Business Survey showing Tasmania continues to have the highest level of confidence in the country.
The Survey says that confidence is at +9, three times the national average of just +3. Business conditions are also the best in the country at +17, nearly 10 points above the national average of +8.
With retail at record highs, our tourism and hospitality sector going from strength to strength, growth in construction and 6,200 new jobs created since the last election, it’s little wonder that businesses are confident.
There is still a lot to do though. That’s why we are investing $315 million into a jobs package and $1.8 billion into infrastructure so that we can continue to support confidence.
Today’s result is another clear sign that under the Hodgman Liberal Government’s long-term Plan, Tasmania is heading in the right direction.
