The Hodgman Liberal Government is delivering the biggest ever commitment to education infrastructure in Tasmania’s history.
Today I was pleased to officially open a significant redevelopment of Lenah Valley Primary School.
The $3 Million project has provided invaluable modern learning environments that will benefit students and staff for years to come. The redevelopment includes five new classrooms, refurbishment of two classrooms and a new outdoor play space.
All areas are designed to be multi-purpose, flexible spaces that will inspire all students to succeed as connected, resilient, creative and curious thinkers.
The project also included a natural exploratory play space with vibrant hands-on artwork.
I congratulate project architect John Padas, Architects Design Haus, along with Fairbrother Murray Wise, who undertook construction for the project, for a fantastic and welcoming facility.
A total of $176 million is being invested across the state over the forward estimates in capital works which includes new schools, school upgrades, new Early Learning Hubs and school farm redevelopments.
