Code of Conduct

Claims that the Government doesn’t support the introduction of a single code of conduct for Members of Parliament are false.

The Government has responded to the Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Integrity indicating a single code of conduct remains our preferred option.

However, it is worth noting that there are already two codes of conduct in place for Members of the House of Assembly, a Ministerial Code of Conduct and an Integrity Commission.

It is also worth noting that when in Government, Labor and the Greens did nothing to advance the single code of conduct.
