Child and Family Centre Additional Staffing Resource

Positive early learning experiences provide the building blocks that strengthen a child’s opportunities in life.

Today I am pleased to announce that all Child and Family Centres will receive additional staffing resources equivalent to one full time equivalent position from next year.

Our Child and Family Centres work with communities to improve the education, health and wellbeing outcomes of young children and their families.

The role of the additional staff will be determined by each Child and Family Centre Leader to ensure the specific needs of the local centre, children and families are catered for.

All Tasmanian children deserve the best possible start in life, and Tasmania’s Child and Family Centres provide an environment where our children are healthy and safe, nurtured by confident, capable families living in strong supportive communities.

We know that providing children with the right start will increase educational outcomes, and provide our children with greater opportunities for future employment. The Government is dedicated to providing young Tasmanians with the best start to leading happy and fulfilling.
