Cheers as Tasmania is named in top international wine destinations

Tasmania’s standing on the world stage as a premium destination has again been enhanced with leading US wine lifestyle magazine, Wine Enthusiast, naming our State as one of the top ten wine travel destinations of 2019.

The list, chosen each year by Wine Enthusiast's global editors, is an authoritative guide on not only where to go for the best wine, but for top restaurants, hotels and cultural activities.

Tasmania is listed with locations such as Beaujolais in France, Temecula Valley in California and Maipo Valley in Chile, and follows the Los Angeles Times naming Tasmania as a top 10 places to visit in 2019.

The Government is committed to strongly promoting Tasmania as a premium destination for visitors and producer for exports. This accolade will only further enhance our fine brand.

From the Tamar Valley in the North, the East Coast Wine Trail, and the Derwent Valley and Coal River Valley in the South, Tasmania’s wine is another great reason for tourists to get out and explore every region of our great State.
