Chamber music stars set to showcase Evandale

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is proud to be supporting the inaugural Tasmanian Chamber Music Festival in 2017 with a grant of $20 000 through Events Tasmania.

This new event will feature an exciting series of recitals by artists such as the Tinalley String Quartet, Genevieve Lacey, Piers Lane and the Van Dieman’s Band, all in the exceptional heritage surrounds of Evandale.

The Tasmanian Chamber Music Festival brings together Tasmania’s unique cultural and natural strengths and will help achieve our goal of become the boutique events capital of Australia.

Our growing visitor economy is well placed to support innovative events such as this one, which continue to open up regional Tasmania to tourists from around the world.

Congratulations to Allanah Dopson on her vision for this festival and subsequently making it a reality.

The Hodgman Government has set the target of bringing 1.5 million visitors to Tasmania by 2020, and regional events such as this have an integral role in us reaching that goal.

The Tasmanian Chamber Music Festival will be held in Evandale from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 October 2017.
