Call for B4 Early Years Coalition Leaders

The Hodgman Liberal Government believes engagement in high quality early learning sets children up for a brighter future to break the cycle of disadvantage in Tasmania.

Expressions of Interest are now open for B4 Coalition Leader appointments to help connect parents or carers to their children’s education, working with the community to help improve educational outcomes in this state.

Applications are strongly encouraged from leaders across local government, early childhood education and care, parents and carers, business and industry, and sport sectors.

As reflected in our education reforms of the Education Bill 2016, the B4 Early Years Coalition is part of the Government’s commitment to providing quality early learning and development experiences for all young children, regardless of where they live or their family background.

This Coalition is co-chaired by the Chair of the Tasmanian Early Years Foundation, Elizabeth Daly and Tasmanian Commissioner for Children, Mark Morrissey, both passionate supporters of Tasmania’s children.

This Government believes support for young children and their families is a whole of community responsibility. With the creation of the B4 Coalition we are enhancing the Government’s support of early years learning and seeking to bring together all those involved in the lives of Tasmania’s youngest children.

The early years are critical for the development and success of our children. With the budget back on track, these important years are receiving the funding and structural reform they need to succeed.

For further information and an Application Kit, go to b4.education.tas.gov.au. Applications close on 16 December, 2016.
