Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival launch

It is my great pleasure to officially launch the BOFA Festival in Launceston tonight at the screening of Let the Sunshine in.

The Tasmanian Government is proud to support the 2018 BOFA Film Festival through Events Tasmania.

Since the first festival in 2010, BOFA has become a unique event on the Australian film festival calendar and plays a vital role in our visitor economy.

The festival specialises in showcasing unique films not on at the cinema or film festival circuit in Tasmania.

Stories told through film inspire, educate and help us develop a better understanding of the world around us.

The program for this year’s festival contains some powerful and inspiring films including Namatjira Project, The Tale of Ruby Rose and Let the Sunshine in starring Juliet Binoche with a hand-picked ensemble including veteran French actor Gerard Depardieu.

The 2018 festival will be held from 17 to 20 May in Launceston.
