Bolt to be new Anti-Discrimination Commissioner

I am pleased to announce Sarah Bolt has been appointed as Tasmania’s new Anti-Discrimination Commissioner.

Ms Bolt is eminently qualified for the role, having previously served a term as the state’s Anti-Discrimination Commissioner and with 25 years’ experience as a legal and alternative dispute resolution practitioner.

As South Australia's Police Ombudsman, Ms Bolt implemented a streamlined complaint handling processes and forged a collaborative relationship between government employees and members of the wider community.

On behalf of the Tasmanian Government, I congratulate her on her return to the role.

I also want to acknowledge and thank outgoing Commissioner Robin Banks for her tireless work in the role over many years.
