The Government notes the statement from Tasmania Police today that charges will be laid in relation to an incident at Ashley Youth Detention Centre in July this year.
As the matter is now before the courts it would be inappropriate to comment further on the matter.
As previously advised, changes have been made at the Ashley Youth Detention Centre, including changes to management, staffing, staff capability, safety and risk management.
