APCA annual driver passes extended

The Tasmanian Government will extend all annual Arthur-Pieman Conservation Area (APCA) recreational driver passes by three months to reflect the time that the APCA was closed to the public due to COVID-19.

The extension of the expiry dates of the recreational driving passes will mean pass holders are not out of pocket as a result of the parks closures earlier this year, and follows the government’s announcement earlier this year that all annual and two year national parks passes would be extended by the same period.

It will also have the added benefit of encouraging Tasmanians to travel locally and holiday in their own backyard, helping local businesses and our economy as we continue to recover from COVID-19.

Information on recreational driving in the APCA, including the level of driving difficulty of each track is available at www.parks.tas.gov.au
