Labor Leader Rebecca White has again been caught out lying and trying to scare Tasmanians about the state’s health system.
On breakfast radio yesterday, Ms White said she had visited “every single hospital in this state over the last couple of weeks”.*
This is a blatant lie as Ms White has not visited the Mersey Hospital, nor most of the state’s rural hospitals.
Labor’s own website confirms they do not consider the Mersey to be one of the state’s major hospitals, and it is clear Ms White will shut it down in a heartbeat if she gets the chance.
But to falsely claim she has been there in the last few weeks is a new low, and comes just one day after she claimed there were no beds available at the LGH despite knowing that beds were available in Ward 4D.
It is time for Ms White to stop the lies and start showing the Mersey Hospital and the people in the North West the respect they deserve.
