Another Scare Campaign

Another day, another scare campaign from the union movement and its parliamentary wing, the Labor Opposition.

The stop work by a small number of HACSU members and false claims made by Bryan Green should be seen for what it is, playing politics.

It’s time the union and Mr Green were held to account for their misinformation.

The facts in relation to improving support services at the Tasmanian Health Service in the north west are:

*          No decision has been made

*          The review will look at ways to assist with delivering an efficient and effective service

*          There is no predetermined plan or decision

*          Unions and staff will be informed when the review is complete and what recommendations are being considered

*          No changes will be made without consultation with staff and unions.

There’s no secret about this review - HACSU has been fully informed it is underway. It complements the move to a Statewide health system.

The irony is the One Health System reforms are publicly supported by HACSU. The question for Mr Green is does he support the One State, One Health System, or is he at odds with his health spokesperson Rebecca White?
