Allegations from the Labor-Green Opposition regarding the proposed amendments to the RTI process for the Commissioner for Children and Young People are nothing more than another reckless conspiracy theory.
The exemption from the RTI process was requested by former Children’s Commissioner, Mark Morrissey, and endorsed by Interim Commissioner David Clements to address an oversight in the original drafting of the Act.
Labor and the Greens continue to show contempt for an independent process, and they should be ashamed of their actions to bring the role of the Children’s Commissioner into disrepute.
