Ambulance ramping reduces under Hodgman Liberal Government

The Hodgman Liberal Government recognises that ramping is a longstanding issue for all health systems, which is why since coming to Government we have worked with our health professionals to reduce ambulance ramping to the lowest level in many years.

In the last calendar year (2015) there were almost 1,400 fewer ambulances ramped at the RHH compared to 2013, the last full year of the Labor-Green Government. This is in part due the Liberal Government re-opening the Ambulance Offload Unit which the former Government disastrously closed.

At  the LGH, the first quarter of 2016 (January to March) has seen the lowest of number of ramped ambulances in at least the past four years, with 19 fewer than in the same period in 2015 and 25 fewer than the same period in 2013.

Labor has no credibility on health system reform, it’s time for Bec White to tell the truth and acknowledge that under the Hodgman Liberal Government, ambulance ramping has reduced.
