In response to continued high demand for travel to Bruny Island this week, the MV Bowen will be in service to provide additional sailings.
From tomorrow until Sunday 29 April the MV Bowen will operate alongside the Mirrambeena, providing increased capacity which will reduce delays in travel to and from the Island.
We recognise the increased demand for the ferry service on and around public holidays and that ANZAC Day is coinciding with the end of the school holidays, which will also see increased utilisation.
The Transport Commissioner has worked with the ferry operator to provide these additional sailings this week to minimise waiting times.
