ABC Giving Tree Appeal bringing joy at Christmas

For 30 years the ABC Giving Tree Appeal has been supported by countless Tasmanians and is a wonderful local tradition at Christmas.

For many Tasmanians, Christmas is a time of celebration, love and family. But for others, it can be a time of hardship, stress and loneliness. Through the Giving Tree Appeal, we have the opportunity to reach out to our fellow Tasmanians and make their Christmas brighter.

Tasmanians are the nation’s most generous people, and can help make the 30th Giving Tree the most successful one yet so the Appeal’s charity partners can provide gifts and support to as many disadvantaged people in our community as possible.

Congratulations to the ABC and their staff who give up their time to run this fantastic Appeal every year, and thanks to the wonderful local charities and their volunteers who distribute the gifts and the support to the people who need it most.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and are accepted right up to Christmas Eve.

Unwrapped gifts can be delivered to ABC studios in Hobart or Launceston, during the day from 10am – 4pm, and on weekends leading up to Christmas. Unwrapped gifts can also be left at participating libraries and UTAS campuses throughout the State up until 14 December 2018.
