A boost for our Men’s Sheds

The Hodgman Liberal Government is a strong supporter of our community organisations and the important work they do right across Tasmania.

Men’s Sheds play an integral part in promoting a sense of community, while providing a safe, supportive environment where men can form friendships, learn and share skills, and receive support and advice on their health and wellbeing.

The Tasmanian Government is supporting the valuable work that our Men’s Sheds play in their local communities through the Tasmanian Men’s Shed Association Grants Program, which opens today.

Funding of $125,000 is available for the Program, with grants of up to $5000 available to provide tools, equipment, training, community initiatives, and health and wellbeing programs; while grants up to $20,000 are also available for capital works programs.

Since the Government established the program, more than $374,000 has been provided to Men’s Sheds, which has supported 140 projects across Tasmania.
