It should be noted that the individual concerned (Mr Langmaid) was in the care of this organisation from 2008 to 2014 – meaning the vast majority of this care was provided under the watch of the former Labor/Green Government including then Minister and current Opposition Leader Rebecca White, and current Greens Leader Cassy O’Connor.
Two separate investigations were undertaken by the Department as a result of complaints from Mrs Langmaid with no evidence of abuse found. This has been conveyed to Mrs Langmaid.
Mr Langmaid is now in the NDIS, and there are rigorous quality and safety requirements in place.
