Under the guidance of the Hodgman majority Liberal Government, Tasmania’s retail sector has continued its record run of strong growth, registering its 27th consecutive month of growth.
Statistics for the month of January proves that the economy is getting stronger, and confidence is returning to Tasmania’s business sector.
The ABS figures also confirm Tasmania has registered its ninth consecutive month where retail sales achieved a turnover of more than $500 million.
January’s total was recorded as $511.7 million, up from the previous month’s total of $510.2 million for the busy Christmas period.
