2020-21 State Budget Community Consultation

Advertisements have been placed in the three major Tasmanian newspapers today inviting written submissions from the Tasmanian community as part of the 2020-21 Budget process.

Community consultation is an important part of the Budget development process and provides Tasmanians with the opportunity to have input into the decisions which shape the delivery of services to our community.

The Government has a strong agenda to improve the services provided to the Tasmanian community and to drive economic growth throughout our State, and it welcomes contributions from the community on how we can best achieve these important objectives.

While Ministers, Liberal Members of Parliament and Government agencies meet with community groups and individuals on a wide range of issues on a continuous basis, this Budget community consultation process provides a specific opportunity for input to the 2020‑21 Budget development process. All submissions received will be reviewed by relevant agencies and Ministers.

All written submissions are due to Treasury by Friday 6 December 2019. Guidance on how to make a submission can be found on the Department of Treasury and Finance website at www.treasury.tas.gov.au.
