The Smith Family Christmas Appeal has helped improve the lives of disadvantaged children right across Australia, and indeed Tasmania for just under 100 years.
The Tasmanian liberal Government strongly believes in the power of education, which is why we support this cause each and every year.
The appeal seeks donations from the community to deliver support in our schools and provide Learning for Life scholarships for students.
This year my Government is giving $3000 to the appeal, and I encourage all Tasmanians where able to join us in giving the gift of education to some of our most vulnerable children.
