2018-19 Sport and Recreation Minor Grants Program

Tasmanian clubs, associations, local government and other not-for-profit providers of sport and active recreation are encouraged to apply for grants under round one of the 2018-19 Sport and Recreation Minor Grants Program.

The program provides grants between $500 and $10,000, and up to 50 per cent of the total project cost, to assist with equipment purchases and the development/improvement of facilities or playing surfaces that directly benefit sport and recreation clubs and improves opportunities for Tasmanians to participate in sport and active recreation.

The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to the health and wellbeing of all Tasmanians, and has an ambitious target of becoming the healthiest state by 2025.

We are proud to once again provide this minor grants program to assist sport and recreation clubs in increasing participation in sport and physical activity.

Applications open on the 1st of August and can be made at www.communities.tas.gov.au/csr. Round one closes on the 12th of September 2018.

The Major Grants Program and the National/International Sports Championships Program are also currently open.
