The Premier, Lara Giddings, congratulated the Tassie Hawks on an outstanding performance in the AFL Grand Final.

"They may not have won but the Hawks have done Tasmania proud today just as they have throughout the season," Ms Giddings said.

"We couldn't buy the marketing exposure brand Tasmania received around the world today thanks to our sponsorship of Hawthorn. 

"I'm sure I'm not alone in looking forward to the next four seasons of great football from the Tassie Hawks and all the benefits our relationship brings to the State."
