Deputy Premier Bryan Green and Federal Environment Minister Tony Burke have worked with the forestry signatories who have made significant progress in negotiating a peace deal over the weekend.

An enormous amount of goodwill has been shown by everyone involved in the talks.  While points of difference remain, the signatories are determined to reach agreement.

The parties are getting closer on key questions relating to wood supply, reserves and durability.

The signatories will continue to work together over the coming days.
