The Minister for Education and Skills, Nick McKim, today congratulated Jenny Rayner on her appointment as the new Director LINC Tasmania.

Mr McKim said Ms Rayner has been acting in the position since December 2011 and has extensive experience in public library services and management of state-wide networks.

"Ms Rayner has played an important role in the establishment of the Learning and Information Network Centres (LINCs) in Tasmania," Mr McKim said.

"Under her leadership, LINC Tasmania will continue to deliver a number of key services to Tasmanians no matter where they live.

"I'm looking forward to working with her and to further build on the work the State Government is doing to provide services and learning opportunities to all Tasmanians.

 "LINC Tasmania brings together all our library services, research and information, adult literacy support, community learning, online access plus archive and heritage services."
