Liberals can't understand Budget Tue 29 May 2012 Nick McKim Minister for Education and Skills Download hi-res version The Minister for Education and Skills, Nick McKim, said today the Liberals had been exposed for their inability to read the Budget papers. Mr McKim said Liberal education spokesman Michael Ferguson had wrongly claimed $58 million had been cut from the Education Department's budget. "Mr Ferguson owes the Tasmanian public an apology for creating this cruel myth that funding has been cut when it has actually been increased," Mr McKim told Budget Estimates. "He has done his calculations on the back of an envelope. "Mr Ferguson should have applied more rigour and scrutiny to the Budget papers and he would not now be left with egg on his face. "His credibility is in tatters."
