Chief Commissioner receives national recognition Fri 20 July 2012 Brian Wightman Attorney-General The Attorney-General, Brian Wightman, today congratulated the Integrity Commission's Chief Commissioner, the Hon Murray Kellam AO, on receiving the annual LEADR Michael Klug Award for his contribution to peaceful conflict resolution. Mr Wightman said Professor Kellam was honoured for his commitment to children's rights in several countries. "Professor Kellam's work in educating the judiciary overseas, in the area of juvenile justice and human rights for children, through his work with UNICEF in Bangladesh, Mongolia and Myanmar (Burma) was highlighted in his receipt of this Award," he said. "The award also recognises his lifetime of involvement in dispute resolution including providing national leadership through his role as chair of the Federal Attorney-General's National Alternative Dispute Resolution Advisory Committee from 2004 to 2011." LEADR is the national association of alternative dispute resolution practitioners.
