Oatlands

Sunday 27th November the Premier and Cabinet travelled to the historic town of Oatlands for the 10th and final forum of the year. 
 
Prior to the forum Premier Lara Giddings unveiled a new interpretation panel at Pontville.  The interpretation panel details the historic houses and various aspect of Pontville’s history and will be of great benefit to tourists and visitors alike who regularly stop and walk around Pontville.

Oatlands district high school hosted the afternoon forum, the parents and friends association ensured the afternoon started off on the right foot with a delicious barbecue.  The Premier, Ministers and Heads of Government Agencies had a busy afternoon of appointments with members of the local community.  The Southern Midlands residents welcomed the opportunity to raise their concerns and share their visions for the future of the region.

On Monday 28th November Cabinet met with the Southern Midland Council.  Productive discussions took place regarding various Midland Highway junction upgrades, the Midlands Aquatic Centre and the Midlands Multi- Purpose Health Centre.
