The Hodgman Liberal Government is investing $900 million to support vulnerable Tasmanians. This includes:
$20 million for Child Protection Services Tasmania: ‘Strong Families - Safe Kids’. We are keeping our pledge to protect vulnerable Tasmanian children by redesigning our child protection system.
$60 million Affordable Housing Strategy and Action Plan. Delivering up to 900 new homes to assist vulnerable families.
$260 million this year for Community Sector Organisations. Record funding to help community organisations assist those in need.
$22 million for our nation-leading $26 million Safe Homes, Safe Families: Tasmania’s Family Violence Action Plan. The Tasmanian Liberal Government is strongly committed to eliminating family violence and providing support to those it impacts.
$572 million investment into the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The NDIS is revolutionising the way that people living with disability are able to participate in the broader community.
$1 million extra for Neighbourhood Houses. Supporting the work of Neighbourhood Houses in responding to the needs of vulnerable Tasmanians and strengthening communities.
$220,000 for additional emergency respite care and pre-assessment services. To support families in crisis and children coming into Out of Home Care.
